Global Environmental Leaders Special Education Program

The objective of this program is to train global environmental leaders who are capable of identifying problems and formulating strategic solutions at the national or local level through interdisciplinary and international perspectives. They can take a major role to achieve environmental sustainability, to design a low carbon society and to keep people’s quality of life without harming the ecosystem in international community. Towards these goals, this program provides cutting-edge knowledge and skills for various sustainability issues.

Any applicants regardless of nationality can join this program, but all applicants should be IDEC students of Hiroshima University.

Follow-up Program

We develop a post-graduation programs for environmental leaders and Hiroshima university alumni.

GELs Short Course

GELs short courses is a program in order to nurture environmental leaders who can address various environmental issues confronting the international community. In these courses, participants gain an understanding of the relationship between significant global environmental issues and local sustainable development, and develop the skills to identify problems from multiple and international perspectives through “international cooperation studies” and some special lectures.
We nurture a working people and student on courses that offer various activities such as internship, technical course and education program.
